About Interschools Coding Competition
The Inter-Schools Coding Competition is a leading national youth STEM and technology initiative in Uganda, fostering computer science literacy, algorithmic problem-solving, and digital innovation among secondary and tertiary students across the country through competitive hackathons, mentoring, and school technology partnerships.
About This Role / Role Overview
The Full Stack Developers is a core operational position at Interschools Coding Competition, responsible for executing strategic responsibilities, maintaining high quality standards, and driving organizational success in Remote / Countrywide. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement industry best practices, and contribute directly to the long-term mission and growth objectives of Interschools Coding Competition.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- •Develop and maintain front-end and back-end features for web applications.
- •Collaborate with team members to plan and deliver practical digital solutions.
- •Test, troubleshoot, and improve application performance and usability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- ✓At least 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software development, systems administration, or IT support.
- ✓Hands-on proficiency with modern programming languages, database systems (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud architectures.
- ✓Practical knowledge of network security, firewall configuration, data protection protocols, and disaster recovery planning.
- ✓Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system incidents independently.
- ✓Industry certifications (such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, AWS, Microsoft Certified, or ITIL) are highly advantageous.
